Tourism President’s Award presented to Downtown Driven Water Ferry Project

The New Jersey Tourism Industry Association hosted New Jersey Division of Travel and Tourism Executive Director Jeff Vasser, Secretary of State Tahesha Way and keynote speaker Governor Phil Murphy to speak with over 120 statewide tourism leaders for the New Jersey Tourism Week Breakfast and Advocacy Day held  at the Masonic Temple in Trenton. As part of the awards presentation, the 105 year strong Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce received this year’s NJ Tourism President’s Award for their Downtown Driven Water Ferry project. This recognition reflects work done for their Private and Public Partnership which includes Borough of Beach Haven, Borough of Tuckerton EDC, Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce, Ocean County Planning Department and Tuckerton Seaport Museum. This project is unique and successfully brings tourism, economic development and innovation into New Jersey for all to benefit.
The award was presented to chamber CEO Lori Pepenella also in attendance was chamber Treasurer Andrea Driscoll.
