Tuckerton Seaport Recognized for Best Boat Ride

TUCKERTON-Accolades from a readership poll from SJ Mag listed Tuckerton Seaport for Best Boat Ride. The popular Water Ferry Service is bringing riders across the bay to enjoy the Long Beach Island Region. The Tuckerton Seaport/Beach Haven water ferry powered by the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce welcomes guests aboard the comfortable pontoon boat for covered a voyage in the newly classified Category 1 waterway. In addition to hitting the open water, the ferry service helps educate visitors and residents alike on the importance of protecting the local water system. The 2020 season launched July 4 Weekend and will be running Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays until Labor Day.

Due to COVID 19 there has been some adjustments for with everyone’s safety in mind. The Capacity per trip is 8 passengers plus the captain and guide so a total of 10 on board at one time. Everyone will be maintaining six feet of social distance between groups and crew. The fee is $25 roundtrip for TWO Riders Beach Haven Municipal Dock Taylor Ave/ Tuckerton Seaport. The Beach Haven/Tuckerton Seaport Ferry project received the Presidents Award for NJ Tourism Excellence in 2019.
